The biggest surprise for me in the reading was the sense of distrust that most entrepreneurs face. I can see now though how having such a keen focus on what others are missing could lead someone to eventually fall into a pattern of distrust.
I was slightly confused by the belief that entrepreneurs face bouts of unrealistic optimism. This contradicts the ability of entrepreneurs to calculate risk.
The first question I would ask would be why do you feel entrepreneurs have unrealistic optimism? That topic confused me. The second question I would ask would be which of the listed characteristics of entrepreneurs is most often a failure point for entrepreneurs? I'd like to know more about the more common deficiencies in entrepreneurs.
I didn't feel the author was wrong about the topics in this chapter.
