This course has been challenging from a time management perspective. I missed a couple assignments just because I wasn't on top of the due dates. I knew the assignments were looming but I still missed them. I actually did all of the video interviews for one and somehow forgot to "Declare" after "Sharing". I learned a lot from that experience and have developed a better sense of time management, which has since helped in this course.
I did feel like giving up when I went through the process of doing the interviews and somehow forgot to "Declare". However, I accepted the knock on the chin and and understood that it was still a great learning experience, both in the interview process and in the process of crossing all the t's and dotting all the i's.
Three tips I would offer to future students for tenacity would be: 1) stay on top of the assignments; 2) get ahead of the assignments as much as you can; and 3) don't be shy, as you'll find that the more you're in front of strangers asking them questions that matter to you, the less shy you'll become.

Hey Warren,
ReplyDeleteFirst of I really like the picture you provided in your post. It is motivating and clever. I can relate to your troubles too about having bad time management. This class came at me and I wasn't ready at first but have been able to sit back and focus on keeping track of all the assignments. Hi Warren,
ReplyDeletethis is a very relatable post, I too have missed assignments due to not being wary of the due dates. I feel bad that you missed points, regardless of doing the assignments, from not "sharing then declaring," that would be discouraging to me too. Good to hear that you bounced back!
Good luck with the rest of your semester!
Hey Warren,
ReplyDeleteI think everyone agrees that staying proactive with this class can make it much easier and enjoyable as the semester moves on. I think another great tip for the next class would be to get a blogger.com account because it is much easier to use and most of the students will be able to access it. Here is what I wrote my reflection about: http://goobirs.blogspot.com/2016/02/half-way-reflection-week-8.html
